National Jet Express (NJE), a Rex Group subsidiary, today announced it has secured a new mining support contract in Western Australia for services into Ravensthorpe on behalf of FQM Australia Nickel and Allkem.

This new contract sees NJE operating six weekly charter services between Perth and Ravensthorpe in southern WA, using 104-seat Embraer E190 jets.

The venture, serving Ravensthorpe on behalf of FQM Australia Nickel and Allkem, further solidifies NJE’s positioning and expansion in the resource market sector across Australia.

Craig Martin, NJE’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the company’s recent accomplishments, citing the acquisition of two additional WA mining accounts and the remarkable growth in NJE’s Queensland operations.

This new contract adds momentum to NJE’s presence in the resource market, showcasing the company’s dedication to making substantial inroads across Australia.

Operational Within Two Weeks

In an impressive turnaround, NJE successfully initiated operations on Friday, 15th December, a mere two weeks after securing the contract.

Craig Martin commended NJE’s staff for their efficiency in delivering this new account to a previously uncharted port in their network within such a remarkably short span.

Mr Martin emphasized that NJE’s achievement is not just a testament to the staff but also a demonstration of the company’s capability and responsiveness.

Soaring Demand and Expansion Plans

The burgeoning demand for NJE’s services nationwide has prompted the company to take proactive measures.

National Jet Express is gearing up to introduce additional aircraft and crew to support both Dash 8-400NG and E190 operations before the end of this Financial Year.

NJE’s robust growth aligns with that of the main Rex Group, the largest regional operator of Regular Passenger Transport services in regional and rural Australia.

This growth is supplemented by a growing network of domestic services utilizing Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.

NJE’s stellar operational reliability mirrors Rex’s commitment to achieving the highest level of On-Time Performance and the lowest level of cancellations among all airlines in Australia.
