At the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked Event, Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy S24 series with Galaxy AI, consisting of three models poised to redefine smartphone excellence. Distinguishing itself with a formidable 50MP 5x telephoto camera, the Galaxy S24 Ultra takes the lead in the series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, lacking this feature, compensate with a sleek design and compelling specifications.

In the US, both the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus boast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy processors, while European, Indian, and select markets feature Samsung’s Exynos 2400. Memory configurations vary, with the S24 offering 8GB RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB (512GB for European buyers). The S24 Plus steps up with 12GB of RAM and storage choices of 256GB or 512 GB.

Incremental upgrades extend to battery capacity, reaching 4,000mAh on the S24 and 4,900mAh on the S24 Plus. However, both maintain last year’s maximum charging speeds at 25W and 45W, respectively. Wireless charging is supported up to 15W through Samsung’s Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.

Design continuity from the previous model is evident, but hardware enhancements shine. The Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch display, while the S24 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch screen. Peak brightness is significantly elevated, reaching 2,600 nits compared to last year’s 1,750 nits. The S24 Plus also enjoys an upgraded resolution from 1080p to 1440p.

Camera specifications remain unchanged, with both models housing a triple camera setup—a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP front camera.
