Kenya Airways, East Africa’s leading airline, has furthered its growth and modernization with the addition of a new Boeing 737-800 to its fleet.
The aircraft was recently delivered in a ceremony held in Nairobi. It furthers the airline’s 20-year partnership with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd, a prominent global aviation services corporation.
The event was graced by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary, Davis Chirchir. He attended alongside members of the Kenya Airways’ Board of Directors and Leadership Team, and representatives from DAE Capital.

This latest acquisition underscores Kenya Airways’ strategic goal of enhancing its regional presence. It caters to the increasing demand for air travel within Africa.

Kilavuka highlighted the lease agreement with DAE as a testament to Kenya Airways’ reliability and forward-thinking approach. He concluded by inviting other lessors to join them on their journey of expansion.
DAE is a global aviation powerhouse with a portfolio of over 500 aircraft, including a significant number of Boeing 737s. This strategic partnership provides Kenya Airways with the necessary support to achieve its ambitious growth objectives.
