On Monday June 2, 2025, Edelweiss celebrated its inaugural flight from Zurich to Seattle, marking a new chapter in its transatlantic offerings.
The launch event at Zurich Airport featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the gate, attended by Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer, Chief Commercial Officer Patrick Heymann.
Also in attendance was Zurich Airport’s Manager of Marketing Services, Chantal Weinmann, alongside the flight crew.
This symbolic gesture officially opened the new route, connecting Switzerland to the vibrant US Pacific Northwest.
Seattle Becomes 4th US Destination
With this addition, Edelweiss now operates direct flights from Zurich to four U.S. leisure destinations. These are Seattle, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas, and Denver.
The seasonal service to Seattle runs on Mondays and Saturdays, utilizing an Airbus A340 with 314 seats. Flights are scheduled to continue until September 15, 2025. The service offers travelers a comfortable and convenient way to explore a dynamic region.
